I am trying something new at night. No news. No TV. Just an old movie and coloring to help with daily stresses of life. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Worked like a charm. I enjoyed a lovely and relaxing evening. Something caught my ear as I was coloring. When Harry found the Mirror of Erised (desire spelled backwards) and Dumbledore says to Harry, do not dwell on dreams and forget to live. Now I tend towards Dumbledore’s advise as gospel, but this gave me pause. I think we can and should do both, dreams are the fuel that keep us going some days. Especially in 2020. We can dwell on our dreams while remembering to live.

Now granted, the content and purpose of all our nighttime dreams are not been fully understood. However, researchers now believe that dreams helps us process emotions and consolidate memories.

What about that cabin on the north shore? Or the beach house on the coast? The trip around the world. The book you want to write. The B&B you want to open. The quilt you want to sew. The band you want to start. The class you want to take. What about those dreams? Personally, I think they are almost the most essential dreams or ideas in your life. They motivate, inspire, improve and help us to achieve any goal that we want to achieve. Makes me ask the question, without dreams, where would we be?

Today. Right now. I think we all need a few dreams in our life. And a few ways to capture our dreams. You could always start an actual dream journal - where you capture your dreams, write down what you remember and keep a diary. A way to reflect on and track and analyze your dreams.
